I'm not sure if everyone's already seen this but it's a pretty cool augmented reality thing using a t-shirt. Just another cool look at what augmented reality can do. But I'm sure it can still be used for even better things that we haven't thought of yet, like we said in class.

Hey Patrick, That's pretty rad though. One place AR fit s well is in product design studios. Imagine being able to show a client your shoe in 3D over a conference call halfway around the world. That would be a practical use of AR. Or consider this. With the advent of 3D TV, imagine interacting with TV and movie characters. There's no reason why a TV and a web cam can't merge into one. I predict that in 5 years we'll be seeing TVs that are basically huge tablet PCs. -Jon
ReplyDeleteThat's really awesome, but really fucking creepy, hahah. That's a good point that you make Jon, product design would be a great place to use AR in order to show clients what you are designing, and to better envision what you are creating.
