Augmented Reality for your feet

Shoe becomes game controller.

Adidas has stepped onto the AR bandwagon with its new line of kicks, the adidas Originals AR Game Pack. The five-set collection will feature tongues labeled with AR markers that will give its wearers access to a virtual version of the adidas Originals Neighborhood. Starting in February and going through April, the kicks wearers will be treated to a new interactive game each month, for which the shoes will be the game controllers.

The site experience launches on February 10 on the adidas Originals site. The adidas Originals AR Game Pack will be available exclusively through Champs stores and Eastbay.

Marsify yourself

From Ad Age's Creativity

Mars Blackmon returns. . .wearing your face.

Two decades after Mars Blackmon hit the screens to pitch Air Jordans, he returns on this microsite and iPhone app, wearing your face. Sure, the blank-yourself gimmick has been done many times over, but it always helps to bring in a much-loved character. The effort is part of a campaign relaunching Air Jordan Spiz'ikes.

Nike True City iPhone App

Nike True City is a really cool iPhone app where you can find some info about different european cities, provided by some "Nike experts", but leaving it open for you to update the content with your own suggestions of what a "true city" should be.

Aditionally the app reveals where new Nike events are taking place, where there are secret QR-codes in each city (i love they include even a QR-Code reader inside the application) or even new Nike products to be launched, creating a really interesting community where you can be rewarded on your own or by sharing to the rest of users. Here's a little trailer to the app:
